Primer is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead the architecture for the self-serve onboarding and platform experience. You’ll own technical direction with hands-on coding time and collaborate with Design to shape onboarding that feels effortless.

You’ll mentor engineers, set frontend standards, and contribute to Python backend when needed. This remote-first, globally distributed team values autonomy and impact.

Qualifications

• Strong production frontend experience with ownership of architecture.
• Ability to mentor engineers and push back on design when needed.
• Comfort with touching Python backend when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontend architecture and technical direction for onboarding and platform.
• Split time roughly 80% frontend, 20% backend, depending on needs.
• Collaborate with Design to shape onboarding flow from concept to production.
• Mentor and raise the bar for team engineers, including juniors.
• Set frontend conventions and quality standards for a growing team.
• Contribute to Python backend where necessary to unblock frontend work.
