Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Flutter Engineer to advance Flutter’s Android embedding for multi-view and windowing across mobile, desktop, and XR.

You will work with internal teams and the open-source community to evolve the engine and ensure robust, high-performance integration in hybrid environments. The role emphasizes Android lifecycle expertise, C++ interfacing, and cross-team collaboration, with English communication at a professional level.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Flutter internals and engine-level development experience.
• Deep understanding of Android platform architecture, lifecycle, and native APIs.
• Knowledge of Java/Kotlin and familiarity with C++ interfacing in Flutter’s engine.
• Experience implementing multi-window or multi-instance features on Android.
• Proficiency in performance profiling, debugging, and rendering optimizations in Flutter apps.
• Fluent English communication for cross-team and community interactions (B2 level or higher).

Responsibilities

• Implement multi-view and windowing support in Flutter’s Android embedding layer.
• Extend the platform to handle multiple simultaneous views across devices and environments.
• Collaborate with Flutter engine maintainers and Google’s open-source community.
• Ensure stable integration across Flutter engine components and plugins.
• Conduct rigorous testing and performance optimization for new windowing functionality.
• Contribute to architecture documentation and engineering proposals for long-term maintainability.
