Job summary

AXA XL in Wrocław, Poland, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to manage accounting transactions for Tech & AI, support monthly closes and budgeting, and analyse project spend. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and report to the Head of Financial Operations & Projects.

The role emphasizes data-driven insights, process improvement, and strong stakeholder communication in a dynamic insurance finance environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Fluent in English (C1) and able to support internal stakeholders.
• Self-starter with good organizational skills, able to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Resilient and adaptable to changing priorities and demanding circumstances.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel) and general ledger systems (SAP).
• ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualification or in progress is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accounting transactions for Tech & AI functions, understanding cost base and drivers.
• Contribute to monthly and quarterly financial close in line with Group policies.
• Support annual operating expense budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting with variance insights.
• Support financial analysis of project portfolio, tracking spend vs budget and forecasting.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate financial data for business cases and projects.
• Prepare monthly project financials reports for key stakeholders.
• Develop reporting and analytics to track transactions and support decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems to increase efficiency and savings.
• Build strong relationships with Finance Business Partners, project teams and Group/Corporate Finance.
