Job summary

PerkinElmer in Krakow is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant specializing in General Ledger processes. The successful candidate will prepare financial statements and collaborate on tax declarations while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least 4 years of relevant experience. Additional skills in SAP and Hyperion, as well as US GAAP knowledge, are preferred. A hybrid working environment is offered with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Job Title

Senior Financial Accountant, General Ledger (GL)

Location

Krakow, Poland - Hybrid

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain US GAAP and local statutory financial statements.
• Perform month‑end and year‑end closings, balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations.
• Analyze and reconcile all accounts, documenting GAAP to local GAAP differences within agreed deadlines.
• Prepare and process accounting documents, including accruals, prepaid expenses, deferred tax calculations and revenue recognition entries.
• Book payroll entries based on files provided by an external outsourced company.
• Collaborate with consultants on monthly and annual tax declarations, including corporate income tax (CIT), VAT, Treasury and statistical reports.
• Support internal and external audits, preparing audit schedules and gathering required documentation.
• Prepare Intrastat declarations.
• Collaborate on monthly and quarterly deliverables.
• Liaise independently with external tax auditors and advisors to ensure compliance with local tax requirements.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in finance/accounting with focus on GL processes.
• Demonstrated experience in month‑end closing and independent ledger maintenance.
• Demonstrated VAT and tax capabilities, including statutory returns.
• Proficiency in financial reporting; US GAAP knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent in English (minimum CEFR B2).

• Experience with SAP and Hyperion (HFM/Essbase).
