B2B Network is seeking an engineer to join the team building a Tech Modernisation Framework. You will design and improve agent workflows, prompts and tooling to migrate legacy code onto modern stacks. You will connect migrations to the CI/CD and deployment platform (Tekton, ArgoCD, Ansible).

The role blends software engineering, platform automation and applied AI. You will work hands-on with Claude Code and the Maister project, using various LLM providers.

Qualifications

• Proven Python development experience.
• Solid software engineering basics: Git, code review, testing.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes basics).
• Hands-on experience with, or strong interest in, LLMs and AI-assisted development (prompting, agents, tool use).
• Able to read and understand code in several languages, including legacy code (e.g. Java).
• Analytical, structured approach to problem-solving, comfortable with ambiguity and experimentation.
• Good communication skills in English and a collaborative attitude.

Detailed description of work task to be carried out

We're looking for an engineer to join the team building our Tech Modernisation Framework. The framework uses AI to analyse legacy code repositories and rewrite them onto our modern, platform-approved technology stacks. You'll design and improve the agent workflows, prompts and tooling that drive these migrations, and connect them to our CI/CD and deployment platform (Tekton, ArgoCD, Ansible).

The work combines software engineering, platform automation and applied AI. You'll work hands-on with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code and the Maister project, using Anthropic and other LLM providers. The framework is deliberately vendor-agnostic, so we value people who understand the underlying concepts more than people tied to one product. You'll work closely with application teams to turn real migration cases into repeatable, reliable automation.

Must-have knowledge and experience

• Strong programming skills in Python
• Solid software engineering basics: Git, code review, testing, clean and maintainable code
• Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes basics)
• Hands-on experience with, or strong interest in, LLMs and AI-assisted development (prompting, agents, tool use)
• Able to read and understand code in several languages, including legacy code (e.g. Java)
• Analytical, structured approach to problem-solving, comfortable with ambiguity and experimentation

Nice-to-have knowledge and experience

• Experience with Tekton, ArgoCD or other GitOps/pipeline tools
• Ansible or other infrastructure-as-code tools
• Experience with agentic coding tools (Claude Code or similar) and agent frameworks
• Knowledge of LLM evaluation, context engineering, or the Model Context Protocol (MCP)
• Background in legacy modernisation, code migration or large-scale refactoring
• Familiarity with Java/Spring, front-end stacks, or other target technologies
• Experience working in a regulated or enterprise environment (e.g. banking)
