Job Description
What does it take to make sure refrigeration and air conditioning solutions perform reliably in real-world conditions? Behind every successful product is thorough testing, engineering expertise and a continuous drive to improve.
As our Senior Engineer, Product Testing, you'll join the RD&E team within Danfoss Climate Solutions, supporting the development and validation of commercial and industrial valves and on/off switches used in refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
You'll take ownership of the end-to-end product testing process, from test preparation and execution to data analysis and documentation. Working closely with product engineers, developers and international testing teams, you'll help ensure our products meet the highest quality and performance standards.
Your impact? You'll not only validate products but also help shape how we test them — improving laboratory processes, strengthening testing capabilities and contributing to the development of reliable, innovative solutions for our customers.
In this role, you will:
Plan, coordinate and execute end-to-end product testing for commercial and industrial valves and on/off switches, ensuring compliance with internal specifications and global testing standards.
Analyze, document and manage test results, continuously improving testing procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), templates and test data management practices.
Ensure the reliability and readiness of laboratory equipment by coordinating scheduled calibrations, maintenance activities and compliance with testing requirements.
Support New Product Development (NPD) projects, working closely with product engineers, developers and other stakeholders to plan testing activities, validate product performance and provide valuable engineering feedback.
Drive continuous improvement of the local R&D laboratory, collaborating with the global Product Testing community to implement testing standards, optimize processes and contribute to laboratory development and investment planning.
2–5 years of experience in mechanical product design or testing, ideally within an R&D, product development or engineering environment; experience with valves or switches would be an advantage.
A strong understanding of product testing processes, including test preparation, execution, documentation and the importance of accurate, reliable test results.
An analytical, structured and proactive mindset, with the ability to solve technical challenges, manage multiple priorities and take ownership of assigned activities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, developers, testing specialists and other stakeholders; fluency in English is essential.
A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to develop new skills; experience in international projects, team or project coordination, and knowledge of 3D CAD tools such as Autodesk Inventor would be additional advantages.
A role with real technical ownership and impact, where your work directly contributes to product quality, reliability and the development of refrigeration and air conditioning solutions.
The opportunity to work on New Product Development projects, gaining exposure to the entire product development and validation process.
International collaboration with experienced engineers and testing specialists, sharing knowledge and best practices across Danfoss' global R&D and Product Testing community.
Opportunities to grow your technical expertise and influence laboratory development, from improving testing methods and processes to contributing to new equipment and investment initiatives.
Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including an annual bonus, employer-funded life insurance, Employee Pension Programme (PPE), Lux Med private healthcare, a subsidized sports card and subsidized meals in our company canteen.
If this role excites you, we’d love to hear from you!
