Job summary

Hitachi Europe Ltd. (HEU) Krakow office is seeking a Tax Manager to join the Finance and Accounting Team. You will support the EMEA Head of Tax in providing corporate tax expertise across UK and Europe, reporting to the Tax Centre of Excellence.

You will work in a team of 9 with one direct report, handling end-to-end tax compliance, advisory work, and project involvement in transfer pricing and controls. The role offers a challenging multinational environment, exposure to diverse tax issues, and

Qualifications

• Accountant or tax-qualified with experience in large multinationals.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in corporate tax compliance and advisory.
• Knowledge of transfer pricing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end corporate tax compliance for multiple entities in Europe.
• Liaise with external advisors for corporation tax returns.
• Prepare the R&D tax credit claims.
• Assist with group relief, interest restriction, and loss use reviews.
• Support tax audits and interact with tax authorities.
• Develop junior staff and perform performance reviews.
