Job summary

BMC Software, Inc. in Warsaw, Poland is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our EMEA tax team. This role focuses on income tax accounting and compliance across multiple countries, with close collaboration with corporate accounting, treasury, and legal.

The position reports to the EMEA Senior Tax Manager in the Netherlands and requires strong analytical skills and proactive problem solving. The ideal candidate will have RA certification (preferred), large corporate tax experience, and solid

Qualifications

• RA certification preferred or in process.
• Large corporate tax experience preferred; Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong technical tax background; strong compliance skills.
• Proficient knowledge of US GAAP ASC 740 and tax impacts to financial statements.
• Well organized; plans, organizes, and monitors performance according to priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly self-motivated; takes initiative; proactive; anticipates situations; addresses issues; accountable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly income tax accounting provisions for 20+ EMEA entities/countries for US GAAP and local statutory statements.
• Assist with income tax compliance in each country with outside consultants.
• Review income tax returns and perform accrual calculations.
• Assist with cash tax forecasting.
• Assist with indirect tax matters (VAT and withholding).
• Maintain knowledge of changing tax laws and regulations; implement changes.
