Job summary

Bluewave IT in Poland seeks a Senior Embedded SW Developer who thrives on hands-on work building software for cutting-edge hardware platforms. You will design, implement, and maintain embedded solutions for transportation-related customer projects, focusing on performance, reliability, and safety.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial embedded software experience on real hardware.
• Strong C++ (min C++14) and embedded software design skills.
• Experience debugging on target hardware with hardware interfaces.
• Familiarity with RTOS (Zephyr OS) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet and ARM architectures.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field.
• Ability to work in hybrid or remote teams and communicate clearly.
• Experience with unit testing and CI pipelines is a plus.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Embedded SW Developer who enjoys hands‑on involvement in building SW solutions on the newest HW platforms. In this role the person will design, implement, and maintain embedded software solutions for customer projects in a transportation domain, focusing on performance, reliability, and functional safety. Typical responsibilities include writing and reviewing embedded code, debugging complex issues on target hardware, collaborating with cross‑functional teams on architecture and design, and ensuring software quality through testing and documentation. The role also involves optimizing existing systems, contributing to technical decision‑making, and supporting integration and deployment activities.

Requirements:

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Embedded Software Programming and 8+ years commercial experience with Embedded Software on real hardware platforms.


• Candidates should possess solid Software Development skills, including coding standards, version control, and collaborative development practices.


• Candidates should possess expertise in Debugging embedded systems, including using debugging tools, logs, and hardware interfaces.


• Candidates should possess strong Software Design skills, including understanding of architectures, design patterns, and system‑level constraints.


• Experience with C++ (min. C++ 14) for embedded systems.


• Familiarity with Linux based real‑time operating systems (RTOS) is beneficial (e.g. Zephyr OS)


• Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet) and microcontroller or processor architectures is advantageous especially the ARM M+A.


• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.


• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid or remote environment, communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, and collaborate in distributed teams.


• Experience with software quality assurance practices, unit testing frameworks, and continuous integration pipelines is a plus.


• Good command of English.
