Sii Poland is seeking an experienced C++ embedded software engineer to develop and maintain software for industrial communication modules. The role focuses on high-level software layers, cross-platform compatibility, and scalable architecture, with emphasis on network reliability and system integration.

The candidate will work with a team across Polish and English communications, contribute to architecture discussions, and help drive improvements in code quality and testing practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience programming in C++.
• Experience with embedded systems and RTOS.
• Knowledge of Ethernet/TCP-IP and OSI model.
• Ability to debug embedded devices.
• Fluent English and Polish communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and developing software for communication modules of industrial devices.
• Refactoring and testing existing solutions.
• Collaborating with the development team to define and evaluate proposed solutions.
• Cooperating with other teams regarding software functions and product development directions.
• Navigating a large codebase and communicating in Polish and English

Join the team developing the next generation of software for industrial control systems and communication modules. The project focuses on creating and advancing advanced embedded C++ components used in industrial automation solutions.

The work involves developing a high-level software layer responsible for communication, integration, and key system functions. The project emphasizes the development of high-level software components and services designed to be used across various hardware platforms. Strong focus is placed on system architecture, network communication, reliability, and software scalability.

Your tasks

• Maintaining and developing software for communication modules of industrial devices
• Refactoring and testing existing solutions
• Collaborating with the development team to define and evaluate proposed solutions
• Cooperating with other teams within the organization regarding software functions and product development directions
• Navigating a large codebase and communicating in Polish and English

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience programming in C++
• Knowledge of embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
• Good knowledge of communication protocols, including Ethernet and TCP/IP
• General knowledge of networks and the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model
• Ability to debug embedded devices
• Advanced proficiency in English and Polish
• Required to reside in Poland

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Python
• Familiarity with the Standard Template Library (STL)
• Experience working in Scrum methodology
