Job summary

Sigma Software is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Developer to join our Embedded Development team. You will design and implement secure, connected embedded systems with cloud connectivity and remote device management capabilities for IoT applications.

You'll work with ARM-based MCUs (STM32, NXP, TI, Silicon Labs), develop networking (TCP/IP, MQTT), implement OTA/FOTA, and apply embedded cybersecurity best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded software experience with C/C++.
• Strong ARM MCU experience (STM32/NXP/TI/SiLabs).
• Experience with TCP/IP, UDP, MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software components for connected IoT systems.
• Develop, optimize networking for cloud-connected devices.
• Implement telemetry, monitoring, and OTA/firmware update mechanisms.
• Integrate Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, BLE, LTE, Zigbee, and Thread.
• Develop secure communication mechanisms per embedded cybersecurity best practices.
• Design and maintain bootloaders and device lifecycle management.
