Job summary

Sigma Software is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Developer (Networking, Security) to join our Embedded Development team. The role focuses on secure, cloud-connected edge devices and next-generation IoT solutions.

You will design and implement embedded software, optimize networking stacks, and enable remote device management across diverse hardware platforms. You will work with wireless technologies, implement OTA/FOTA updates, and apply embedded cybersecurity best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years commercial experience in embedded C/C++.
• Experience with ARM-based MCUs (STM32, NXP, TI, or Silicon Labs).
• Strong networking and cybersecurity knowledge.
• Experience with OTA/FOTA and cloud-connected devices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software components for connected IoT systems.
• Develop and optimize networking for cloud-connected devices.
• Implement telemetry, remote provisioning, and OTA update mechanisms.
• Integrate Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, BLE, LTE, Zigbee, and Thread communication.
• Develop secure communication mechanisms and lifecycle management.
• Debug, test, and perform root-cause analysis on hardware.
• Collaborate with architects, hardware, QA, and security teams.
• Prepare documentation and ensure compliance with standards.
