Job summary

Sigma Software is seeking a Middle Embedded Software Developer for an IoT-driven beverage solution. This remote full-time role covers real-time firmware, touchscreen GUIs, networking, and secure OTA updates across embedded platforms.

Responsibilities include driver development for displays, cameras, sensors, and actuators, plus debugging and documentation. Proficiency with STM32/ARM and FreeRTOS/Zephyr is preferred; English at strong level is required.

Qualifications

4+ years of commercial embedded software development with C/C++
Strong expertise with STM32 and ARM Cortex-M architectures
Hands-on experience with UART, I2C, SPI and Wi‑Fi interfaces
Networking protocols knowledge: MQTT, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, UDP
Experience with FreeRTOS or Zephyr RTOS; secure boot and OTA updates

Responsibilities

Design and implement embedded software components and hardware drivers for displays, cameras, sensors, and actuators
Develop beverage dispensing logic including temperature control, pumps and safety mechanisms
Implement secure OTA firmware updates over HTTPS
Develop and optimize embedded graphical user interfaces for LCD touchscreens
Write clean, maintainable C/C++ code and debug on real hardware
Create and maintain technical documentation and perform unit/integration testing
