Job summary

Appliscale sp. z o.o. in Kraków is seeking a Senior Drupal Engineer to own architecture, performance, security, and deployments for a high-impact production site driving critical SEO traffic.

You will bridge custom Drupal backend development with cloud infrastructure, collaborating within the technical SEO team to deliver robust, scalable Drupal 10 solutions. This role offers autonomy, end-to-end ownership, and exposure to AWS, Docker, CircleCI, and modern PHP stack, with English communication

Qualifications

• 7+ years of production software development experience.
• Hands-on experience in Drupal 10 custom module development.
• Strong mastery of PHP 8.x, Symfony framework, and Twig.
• Solid understanding of technical SEO principles (URL structure, redirects, page speed performance, structured data).
• Practical experience with AWS, Docker containerization, CircleCI pipelines, and Git version control.
• Autonomous, proactive mindset with high comfort navigating ambiguity and taking end-to-end ownership.
• Curiosity and foundational familiarity with JavaScript.
• Computer Science degree.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and/or Kanban.
• Proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Developing custom Drupal 10 modules using PHP 8.x, Symfony components, and Twig templating.
• Managing and maintaining AWS and Docker containerized setups alongside CircleCI deployment pipelines.
• Driving technical SEO implementation, including URL structure, redirects, Core Web Vitals/page speed optimization, and structured data.
• Monitoring system health and site performance using Datadog, ensuring high availability and stability.
• Executing regular security patches, Drupal updates, and core upgrades.
• Supporting the editorial team with CMS workflows and contributing to headless CMS architecture.
• Participation in on-call rotation.

As the senior Drupal engineer in the high-impact production site driving critical SEO traffic, you will take full accountability for architecture, performance, security, and deployments.
