Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. in Gdansk/Krakow, Poland, seeks a Senior Node.js Developer to design and build scalable front-end solutions, microservices, and REST APIs in a hybrid setup (3 days in the office). You will also analyze legacy systems and define architecture for modernization.

You will contribute to AWS-based implementations, maintain performance and security, and work in an Agile, cross-functional environment with clients and teams. Strong Node.js, AWS, and CI/CD experience required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience including Node.js development.
• Solid experience designing microservices and REST APIs.
• Hands-on with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, Firehose, DynamoDB, CloudWatch).
• Knowledge of DynamoDB and PostgreSQL; DB2 legacy experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and Java.
• Understanding CI/CD and testing practices (Cucumber, API testing frameworks).
• Experience in Agile environments.

In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of front-end solutions, microservices, and REST APIs, leveraging modern technologies and best practices. You will also play a key role in analyzing legacy systems, defining architecture for transformation projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business value.

Requirements

• Knowledge of database technologies including DynamoDB and PostgreSQL (DB2 legacy experience is a plus)
• Familiarity with TypeScript and Java

• Experience working in Agile development environments
