Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps + Java Engineer in Kraków to design and implement robust cloud-based deployments. The role blends backend Java code understanding with modern DevOps practices, emphasizing automation, Azure operations, and Kubernetes orchestration.

You will work across Unix/Linux environments, using Shell/Bash and Python to build scalable pipelines, diagnose issues, and improve reliability. Collaboration and knowledge sharing are core to the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including deployment and monitoring.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ARM, Bicep or similar).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable delivery to Azure.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications (App Services, Azure SQL, Kubernetes, Docker).
• Manage workloads on Unix/Linux environments with Shell scripting.

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps + Java Engineer who is also able to understand Java code if needed. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with both modern frameworks and legacy technologies, while also driving automation, deployment, and cloud operations in Azure.
