Job summary

GEP Worldwide is seeking a senior DevOps engineer to significantly impact a critical platform. You will drive hands-on efforts to improve security, scalability, and efficiency while guiding peers and collaborating with the platform architect.

You will modernize with migrations to Kubernetes and optimize CI/CD across multiple microservices to support higher volumes and reliability. English communication is essential in a global team.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration in production environments.
• Extensive experience with Ansible, Terraform, and infrastructure as code.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, cloud infra and networking.
• Proficient in scripting with Bash, Python, and Groovy.
• Solid experience with Kubernetes, containers, Helm, and GitOps workflows.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end CI/CD (Git, Jenkins, container builds, Argo CD, multi-env Kubernetes).
• Experience with observability/monitoring stacks (Prometheus-based).
• Experience supporting developers for Node.js and Java services.
• Experience operating complex production platforms with multiple microservices.

Responsibilities

• Shape and improve end-to-end CI/CD for multiple Node.js and Java microservices across environments.
• Enhance platform scalability, reliability, and performance for core workloads.
• Contribute to modernization: migrate stateful workloads to Kubernetes and move WebMethods Java platform to Kubernetes.
• Drive improvements in security, maintainability, and cost efficiency across infra and delivery pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers and platform architect to troubleshoot and guide less senior engineers.
• Support daily operations: monitoring, incident handling, and collaboration with Jira and service desks.
