Job summary

XM in Poland seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and to build CI/CD pipelines with GitLab or Jenkins. You will mentor engineers, own technical domains, drive automation, and ensure reliable, scalable deployments across teams.

You will collaborate with development teams to plan and deploy applications, oversee cloud migration projects, and maintain security and best practices to minimize downtime and optimize operations.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or similar field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Docker.
• Experience in CI/CD with GitLab and/or Jenkins.
• Experience in AWS technologies and ecosystem.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of IaC concepts and tools, preferably Terraform.
• Experience with Git.
• Distinctive organisation and documentation skills.
• Linux and Windows admin, networking and scripting skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to plan, deploy and administer applications on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Maintain the AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and Terraform.
• Initiate and drive the adoption of technologies and good patterns for development and operations.
• Mentoring other engineers and leading technical domains or projects.
• Oversee automation, optimization and reliability of systems.
• Provide guidance for cloud migration projects and re-platforming initiatives.
• Communicate progress of cloud migrations to senior leadership.
• Ensure 24/7 business continuity with minimal downtime.
