Job summary

BAE Systems Digital Intelligence is seeking a (Senior) DevOps Engineer in Poznan, hybrid work arrangement. You will implement DevOps best practices, collaborate with development teams to streamline workflows, and own infrastructure decisions.

The role emphasizes automation of deployments, system monitoring, and diagnosing complex issues across large architectures. The ideal candidate has 3–4 years in DevOps, strong IaC with Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS and on-prem), and experience with CI/CD

Qualifications

• At least 3-4 years of practical experience in a DevOps role.
• Hands-on with Terraform and infrastructure as code.
• Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS and on-prem), and Helm.

Responsibilities

• Introduce and follow best standards in DevOps practice.
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline workflows and resolve issues.
• Diagnose problems independently, propose solutions, and implement changes with minimal supervision.
• Own infrastructure-related decisions and drive improvements proactively.

• Reproduce, investigate, and diagnose complex issues related to the platform and architecture.

Job Title: (Senior) Devops Engineer

Location: Poznan/ hybrid working

Key Responsibilities

• Introducing and following the best standards in DevOps practice
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline workflows and resolve issues
• Work independently to diagnose problems, propose solutions, and implement changes with minimal supervision
• Take ownership of infrastructure related decisions and drive improvements proactively
• Automation of product deployments
• System platform administration and monitoring
• Reproducing, investigating and diagnosing the most complex issues related to supported platform and its architecture

Essential Skills and Experience

• At least 3-4 years of practical experience in DevOps role
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS and on-prem) and Helm
• Experience in CI/CD (Jenkins, ArgoCD)
• Experience in AWS Cloud (including IAM, VPC, EKS, RDS, Route53, Secrets)
• Experience in administration of Linux
• Understanding complex system architectures and ability to support creating new ones
• Good knowledge of a scripting language (i.e. Bash, Python)
• Experience with version control system (GIT)
• Experience with monitoring stack (Prometheus, Grafana, AlertManager)

Would be a plus

• Experience with Terragrunt
• Experience with AWS EKS and Talos
• Experience with AWS cross account connectivity
• Solid understanding of computer networks (configuration and troubleshooting)
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring
• CKA, or CKAD, or CKS certificate
