BAE Systems Digital Intelligence in Poznan is seeking a (Senior) Java Engineer to join an agile team delivering enterprise-scale applications in a hybrid working environment.

You will turn high-level designs into concrete engineering tasks, collaborating with architects and developers, and contribute to microservice design, testing and troubleshooting.

The role offers technical autonomy, exposure to modern stacks, and opportunities to shape software delivery across a growing programme.

Formación

• Java 21 proficiency or higher.
• Spring and Spring Boot experience.
• API development and REST principles.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or relational databases.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsabilidades

• Share knowledge with other engineers to deliver advanced solutions.
• Act as intermediary between architects and developers, translating designs into engineering activities.
• Develop and participate in the design phase of microservice architecture.
• Troubleshoot complex issues.
• Identify process improvements and implement changes.

About The Role

Our agile team delivers a dynamic platform that supports high quality, enterprise scale applications.

• You will be working in a rapidly growing and engaging programme. Sharing your knowledge and expertise with other engineers, to deliver advanced technological solutions.
• You will act as the intermediary between architects and developers, turning high-level designs into quality engineering activities to build and deliver elegant solutions to our clients. This will allow you a degree of autonomy and responsibility, as you will be empowered to make the most appropriate technological decisions to meet the requirements of the programme.
• You will be developing and participating in design phase of microservice architecture solution.
• Troubleshoot complex issues.
• Identify process improvements and recommend/perform changes.

Skills and Experience

Essential skills:

• Java (preferably 21)
• Spring and Springboot
• API Development, REST
• PostgreSQL and Relational Databases
• DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines

Desirable skills:

• AWS (SQS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch)
• Queue/Messaging (Kafka, SQS, SNS)
• Iceberg or other datalake solution

• Unit Testing

• Jenkins
• JavaScrip or Python is nice to have
