Job summary

TFS HealthScience is seeking a Clinical Database Programming Process Lead to own and evolve a scalable, high‑quality DBP capability across the organization. This home‑based role supports UK, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Portugal or Poland, collaborating with global teams to drive standards and capacity planning.

You will lead governance, quality, training and technical escalation, ensuring compliant programming, audits readiness and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in database programming or clinical data operations within CRO/pharma environments.
• Experience as Principal Database Programmer or DBP SME.
• Strong knowledge of EDC/CDMS platforms across multiple systems.
• Good understanding of GxP, validation, testing and inspection readiness.
• Proven leadership and cross‑BU collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and deliver the DBP capability plan and improvement roadmap.
• Own the governance and operating model, defining roles, decisions and escalation routes.
• Maintain enterprise standards, playbooks, templates, tools and knowledge repository.
• Act as SME for SOPs and controlled documents; coordinate changes through QMS.
• Monitor quality trends, CAPAs and risk-based improvement actions.
• Promote consistent validation, testing, change control and documentation practices.
• Provide DBP expertise for audits, inspections and client assessments.
• Act as escalation point for complex, high-risk DBP issues.
• Provide hands-on support to protect delivery and address capacity gaps.
• Define competency framework, training plans and onboarding for DBP staff.
• Support workforce planning, recruitment criteria and technical assessments.
• Maintain DBP costing assumptions, proposal guidance and service descriptions.
