Job summary

DOU Polska is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design and implement advanced data models and ML solutions that optimize sales, marketing, pricing, and overall commercial performance. You will help transition from descriptive analytics to data-driven decision making in a leading American publishing house.

The role requires 5+ years in data science, strong Python/SQL skills, and experience with Snowflake/Databricks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, CS, Engineering, Statistics or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data science roles.
• Strong experience applying data science and ML to business problems (sales, marketing, pricing, demand forecasting).
• Proficient in Python and SQL for data analysis and ML.
• Experience with modern data warehouses/lakehouses (Snowflake/Databricks/BigQuery).
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement advanced data models and ML algorithms for complex problems in publishing.
• Analyze sales, marketing, customer, product, and pricing data to identify opportunities.
• Develop data-driven approaches for demand forecasting, customer behavior, and pricing optimization.
• Translate ambiguous business challenges into analytical and ML solutions.
• Collaborate with business and tech stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and DBT.
• Leverage Python and SQL for model development, experimentation, and automation.
• Advance the organization from descriptive to predictive analytics.
