Job summary

Aviva is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to lead development of AI/ML models and analytics solutions. You will design end-to-end processes using Python, SQL and R, plan analyses, and coordinate with stakeholders across the Aviva Services Excellence Centre in Poland.

The role requires 5+ years in data science, strong Python/SQL skills, and the ability to present findings to business stakeholders. Generative AI, MLOps and cloud experience are a plus; a remote work option is available.

Qualifications

• Higher education degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Science, data analytics, or machine learning.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience in building, deploying, and maintaining Data Science and Machine Learning models.
• Ability to independently conduct analyses and effectively present findings to business stakeholders.
• Experience working in project environments and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to plan and prioritize technical tasks effectively.
• Good command of English, enabling collaboration in an international environment.
• Experience with Generative AI, MLOps, and cloud-based environments would be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop Data Science models, including AI/ML solutions.
• Design and implement processes and tools using Python, R and SQL.
• Plan, prepare, monitor and document analyses.
• Coordinate initiatives with stakeholder management and task planning.
• Develop models to support operational activities and management decisions.
• Test system and tool changes against defined scenarios.
• Maintain relationships with Aviva UK and present results in meetings.
• Provide subject matter support to the team and validate analysis quality.
