Job summary

ShipMonk의 Data Platform team is building a scalable, modern data foundation to empower the entire organization. We are seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to help advance data infrastructure toward self-serve analytics and real-time insights across the business.

You will own platform reliability, governance, and cost-optimized data pipelines, collaborating with product-minded engineers to drive rapid, high-impact results in a fast-growing 3PL tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Platform Enablement: Build reliable, scalable infrastructure that allows domain teams to self-serve, moving toward Data Mesh ownership.
• Data Reliability Engineering (DRE): Ensure data integrity with rigorous quality standards and SLO-based alerting for freshness and accuracy.
• FinOps & Scale: Optimize Snowflake compute, storage and pipelines as data volume grows.
• Strategic Migration: Help producers and consumers migrate legacy data flows to the new Data Platform.
• Technical Ownership: Use Terraform and AWS Fargate to continuously improve, secure and automate data infrastructure.
