Moniepoint Inc. is Africa’s all-in-one financial platform that empowers millions of businesses with payments, banking, credit, cross-border and management tools. We are seeking a Data Engineer to build and optimise data pipelines and platforms to support rapid decision-making.

You will collaborate with multiple teams to understand data needs, monitor model performance, and ensure data quality while enabling scalable, cost-efficient data processing across our global infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Advanced SQL proficiency.
• Proficiency with Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Experience using Git.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust data pipelines processing large volumes of data.
• Update and optimise data platform for speed, scalability and cost.
• Coordinate with different functional teams to understand and meet their data needs.
• Develop processes to monitor and analyse model performance and data accuracy.
• Solve general data-related problems.
