Job summary

Accenture is hiring for a Data & Applied Intelligence leadership role in Poland. You will design and develop scalable data platforms, data lakes, and warehouses using Databricks, Python, Spark, and Delta Lake, while mentoring engineering teams and promoting best practices across CI/CD and automated testing.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related IT field.
• 12+ years of professional experience in data engineering, software engineering, or similar technical leadership role.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and mentoring technical professionals.
• Hands-on experience using AI within the software development lifecycle.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Databricks, Python, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, DLT, and GitLab.
• Strong experience with Big Data technologies and Data Warehouses.
• Experience building scalable batch and streaming data pipelines for high-volume datasets.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred), Unix/Linux environments, and shell scripting.
• Experience designing high-performance applications focusing on throughput, scalability, reliability, and latency.
• Expertise in automated testing, CI/CD implementation, and modern engineering practices.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable data platforms, data lakes, and data warehouse solutions using Databricks, Python, Spark, Delta Lake, and DLT, while fostering a culture of learning across engineering teams.
• Architect and optimize high-volume batch and streaming data pipelines for near real-time analytics, demonstrating a commitment to constant progress and engineering excellence.
• Drive technical leadership, mentor engineers, and establish best practices for software development, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and GitLab-based delivery processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to rapidly prototype data solutions, embrace challenges as opportunities, and evolve prototypes into production-ready platforms with strong non-functional requirements, including high throughput and low latency.
• Apply AI solutions across the software development lifecycle and promote continuous learning by identifying innovative approaches to improve engineering productivity and product quality.
