Job summary

HelloFresh in Warsaw, within HelloTech, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to extend and operate the behavioral data platform, including event pipelines, Databricks Unity Catalog, and semantic layer integrations. This role emphasizes system design, schema governance, and building a scalable data platform for analytics across markets.

You'll work with product managers, data scientists and engineers to deliver high-quality data products, ensuring data quality, governance, and fast, trustworthy

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AI tooling beyond casual experimentation.
• Proven track record in software/data engineering in a production environment.
• 5+ years as a Data Engineer with data platform delivery.
• Fluency in Python and dbt; strong SQL skills.
• Experience with cloud stacks and CI/CD practices.
• Strong communication with product managers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate data platform components behind behavioral data and experimentation infrastructure.
• Develop pipelines and semantic layer integrations (Snowplow, Unity Catalog).
• Leverage Generative AI to enhance data platform capabilities.
• Create robust, well-governed data products for analytics and experimentation.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, data quality, and lineage across platforms.
• Collaborate with product managers, analysts and data scientists.
• Instrument, monitor, and improve systems in production; ship is start of learning.
