Job summary

Globalization Partners is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to shape the AI-native data platform and self-service frameworks that power our global SaaS product. You will design scalable pipelines, drive platform performance, and implement data contracts to ensure data quality.

You will also lead AI-assisted development practices and mentor engineers on distributed computing, Spark optimization, and real-time processing across a global team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production-grade data systems at scale.
• Deep mastery of the Databricks/Spark ecosystem (Delta Lake, DLT).
• Experience with real-time/streaming architectures (Spark Structured Streaming, Kafka, or Kinesis).
• Experience reducing cloud costs in high-growth environments.
• Experience building APIs, tools, or frameworks used by other teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect the data platform and self-service frameworks for distributed teams.
• Own platform performance, tuning Spark and managing DBU consumption.
• Implement Schema-on-Write validation and Data Contracts for data quality.
• Lead AI-assisted SDLC adoption and mentor engineers on distributed computing.
