Virtusa Corporation seeks a Tech Lead / Senior Architect – Data Engineering to architect enterprise-grade data platforms for a pharma-focused global engagement. You will drive scalable, secure solutions enabling advanced analytics and BI across the organization.

Responsibilities include end-to-end platform design, governance, and DataOps with a strong emphasis on Snowflake optimization and cloud-native tooling. Leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing enterprise-grade data platforms and analytics solutions.
• Strong Snowflake, SQL, and data warehousing expertise with performance tuning and security in mind.
• Hands-on ETL/ELT development using modern tooling, especially dbt.
• Experience in data architecture and distributed data systems design.
• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Proven experience with AWS and cloud-native data services.
• Leadership and ability to mentor engineering teams and influence architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of scalable data platforms (Snowflake).
• Define and enforce enterprise data architecture standards and best practices.
• Design robust ETL/ELT pipelines leveraging dbt and modern cloud tech.
• Engage with distributed stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable tech solutions.
• Champion data governance, lineage, metadata management and data quality framework.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and security guidance for data platforms (GDPR/pharma).
• Implement DataOps practices and CI/CD for automated testing and deployment.
• Oversee Snowflake tuning, clustering strategies, cost management, and performance optimizations.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to engineering teams.
