Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Senior Data Migration Engineer to join our delivery team focused on SQL Server to Snowflake migrations for a global client in the tobacco industry. You will design and optimize Matillion ELT pipelines, implement AI-assisted code conversion and automated testing, and build data reconciliation frameworks in Python to ensure data integrity during migration.

Strong SQL Server and Snowflake expertise, plus Python testing with pandas and pytest, are required.

Qualifications

5+ years in enterprise data warehouse projects.
Expertise in SQL Server and Snowflake performance tuning.
Experience migrating SQL Server workloads to Snowflake.

Responsibilities

Migrate database objects from SQL Server to Snowflake with functional equivalence.
Design, develop and optimize Matillion ELT pipelines to Snowflake.
Build automated data validation and reconciliation in Python.
Address data type conversions and SQL dialect differences during migration.
Use AI coding assistants to accelerate conversion and productionize AI outputs.
Tune Snowflake performance and manage CI/CD releases.
