Job summary

EY GDS Poland is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build data platforms enabling clients to make informed decisions. You will design robust solutions on state-of-the-art data engines such as Snowflake and collaborate with teams across the globe.

You will work on international projects using major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP). The role requires strong SQL/Python skills, Big Data experience, and knowledge of data warehousing concepts, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• 3 years of experience in Snowflake.
• 3 years of experience in Big Data.
• Proficient in SQL or Python.
• Background in data warehousing, ETL, distributed data processing, software engineering components and data modeling concepts.
• Analytical problem-solving skills in a big data environment.
• Experience with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data.
• Experience in at least one public cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Strong relational and non-relational storage design concepts.
• Knowledge of Data Marts, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Data Mesh.
• Very good English (verbal and written).
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), DevOps and CI/CD principles.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer you are responsible for building data platforms that enable our clients and business partners to make efficient decisions with ease. You design robust solutions on state-of-the-art data engines such as Snowflake.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• 4 years of experience in Data Engineering area
• 3 years of experience in Snowflake
• 3 years of experience in Big Data
• You are proficient in SQL or Python
• You have a background in data warehousing, ETL, distributed data processing, software engineering components and data modeling concepts
• Analytical problem-solving skills, particularly those that apply to a big data environment
• Experience in working with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
• Experience in at least one public cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Strong Experience in design techniques of relational databases and non-relational storage
• Strong Experience with concepts such as Data Marts, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Data Mesh
• Very good English (verbal and written)
• Experience in using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), DevOps and CI/CD principals

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Knowledge of data formats: Parquet, Iceberg, Avro
