Job summary

EY GDS Poland invites a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant to join our global delivery network. You will work on Microsoft Stack and Azure Cloud, delivering scalable BI solutions for international projects.

You will design dashboards, data models and access controls, collaborate with data engineers and product managers, and promote governance and security best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial BI experience.
• Strong experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience with diverse data sources (SQL, SharePoint, flat files, web sources).
• Strong experience in relational and dimensional database design and implementation.
• Understanding governance and security in data handling.
• Experience converting business problems into technical solutions considering security, performance, scalability.
• Experience in enterprise-class BI implementations.
• Very good English (verbal and written).
• Ideally, you’ll also have French/German/Spanish language skills.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience with other BI tools like Qlik Sense, SAP BO, Cognos, OBIEE.
• Experience with BI/ETL tools on Azure/GCP/AWS cloud.
• Experience with Oracle, DB2, Teradata.

Your key responsibilities

As aSenior Business Intelligence Consultant,you are responsible for design and implementation of the solutions that enable our clients and business partners taking efficient decisions with ease. You are able to design, implement and deploy reports, dashboards, data models and access rules for end users.

Skills and attributes for success

• Solving complex business problems at large scale.
• Understanding business needs and fulfilling them with the right solution.
• Participation in a cross-functional initiatives and collaboration across various domains.
• Acting as SME for business intelligence related issues in large projects.
• Interacting with data engineers, product/project managers and partners from all over the world.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• 3+ years of commercial experience in similar role
• Strong experience with Power BI or Tableau
• Experience in using various data sources, e.g. SQL, Sharepoint, flat files, web sources.
• Strong experience in and understanding of relational and dimensional databases design and implementation.
• Understanding of the importance of governance and security rules when handling data
• Experience in converting business problems/challenges to technical solutions considering security, performance, scalability etc.
• Experience in enterprise-class solution implementations
• Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution excellent inter-personal skills
• Very good English (verbal and written)

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Communicative level in one of following: French (preferably)/German/Spanish (verbal and written)
• Experience in using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• Experience in another BI tool like Qlik Sense, SAP BO, Cognos, OBIEE
• Experience in BI/ETL tools on Azure/GCP/AWS cloud
• Experience in other RDBMS like Oracle, DB2, Teradata
• Experience with data lakes
• Experience with real-time data processing and data warehousing aggregation
