Job summary

Infoplus Technologies UK Limited in Kraków seeks an experienced Data Engineer to design and optimize data pipelines, enabling large-scale data and advanced search capabilities. You will work with SQL/NoSQL databases and implement indexing, graph-based knowledge representations, and metadata-driven search components.

The role requires 5+ years in data engineering, strong Python/Scala/Spark skills, and familiarity with Azure Databricks and PowerBI.

Qualifications

5+ years of data engineering experience, including large-scale or Big Data exposure.
Strong SQL and database skills (relational and NoSQL), with query optimization and schema design.
Hands-on experience with search platforms or information retrieval (indexing, ranking, text search).
Knowledge of graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Cosmos DB Gremlin) and knowledge graphs.
Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, Spark; experience with Big Data tools like Azure Databricks and PowerBI.
Experience designing or maintaining search APIs, indexing pipelines, or metadata-driven search components.
Familiar with Agile methodologies; ability to deliver increments within an Agile team.
Strong communication and stakeholder management; translate search needs into solutions.
Analytical, problem-solving and data-management abilities.
Proactive team player with initiative to drive improvements in search/data-discovery workflows.
Interest in understanding business context to create meaningful data search experiences.
Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication; able to work in a global team.
