Job summary

ELEKS is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Poland, Croatia or Ukraine to join a multi-country engagement for a UK renewable energy partner. You will develop data pipelines, databases and data lakes, leveraging Databricks and AWS to deliver datasets for data science and analytics use across teams.

The role requires 4+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, Python and ETL skills, with English at an upper-intermediate level.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in Data Engineering, SQL, ETL including data validation, mapping and exception handling.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks (2+ years).
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with AWS services (S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue, Lambda).
• Power BI experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of energy industry would be a plus.
• At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English.

Responsibilities

• Build Databases, data lakes and data ingestion pipelines to deliver datasets for various projects.
• Design, develop and deploy end-to-end data and data science solutions for usability by data scientists and non-technical users.
• Develop scalable data and ML solutions across the data lifecycle, supporting code and infrastructure for datasets, pipelines, metadata and code management.
• Engage with stakeholders across departments including data platforms, architecture, development and operations, ensuring data security and privacy.
• Collaborate closely with the customer and team in a dynamic environment with minimal bureaucracy.
• Pursue competence development within a team of professionals.
