Job summary

Keyrock is building a Data Platform within the Central Data Team to empower trading desks, wealth management, product, risk, and research with real-time and historical data. You will contribute to major architectural decisions and practical implementations across streaming and batch data workflows.

We seek an engineering leader with deep experience in Python/SQL, data modelling, and scalable data systems. The role is predominantly remote with global hubs and a focus on self-healing,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of building production data systems that other people rely on.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL: not just writing a query, but understanding engine behavior.
• Readable, testable, and maintainable code is a must.
• Strong understanding of data modelling for both streaming and analytical workloads.
• Efficiency, quality, idempotency, and observability are valued by default.

Responsibilities

• Build streaming and batch pipelines ingest, normalise, and distribute market and portfolio data.
• Create self-serve tooling (SDKs, templates, AI agents) for data products.
• Own data contracts and schema evolution to avoid multi-team coordination issues.
• Design the lakehouse and time-series layer around consumer query patterns.
• Develop data governance and data quality framework including lineage and tests.
• Produce analytics for cross-exchange spreads, VWAP, and portfolio views.
• Prioritise observability, cost, and performance from day one.
• Treat infrastructure as code (Docker, Terraform, CI/CD) and collaborate with Central Infrastructure.
