Job summary

Banank is seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to define the architecture and lead the development of our next-generation real-time data platform powering backend services, BI, regulatory reporting, and AI-driven analytics within our digital banking ecosystem.

You will own enterprise data architecture, ensuring data is consistent, discoverable, and reusable for operational services and AI-enabled applications.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering with emphasis on streaming and real-time platforms.
• Experience designing enterprise data platforms serving operational systems in addition to analytical workloads.
• Strong understanding of modern data architecture including lakehouse concepts and distributed data systems.
• Hands-on experience with streaming data platforms and distributed analytical engines.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, low-latency requirements, and pipelines as code.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and long-term evolution of Banank's enterprise data platform.
• Define scalable architectural principles for operational, analytical, and real-time data systems.
• Design reusable enterprise data models and data products for backend services, BI, and AI applications.
• Ensure data consistency, governance, discoverability, and reusability across the organization.
• Mentor engineers and define engineering standards, guidelines, and best practices.
