Job summary

State Street in Poland is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own data engineering across on‑prem and cloud products. You will enable data‑driven decisions for internal customers in a large bank, working with distributed systems, data warehouses, and data integrations.

You will design scalable pipelines and data models using SQL, Python, and modern tooling (Databricks, Snowflake, PowerBI), collaborating across teams to deliver robust solutions in a cybersecurity‑mocused IT environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience with on-prem and cloud (Azure and AWS) data environments.
• Experience building and optimizing scalable data pipelines and data models.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with Microsoft SQL Server or similar.
• Advanced scripting skills (PowerShell or Python).
• Experience building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with platforms like PowerBI, Databricks, Snowflake.
• Understanding of enterprise infrastructure incl. servers, storage, networking, access control, deployment environments.
• Strong experience in working with APIs.
• Good communication skills translating non-technical requirements into robust solutions.
• Familiarity with SDLC tools such as GIT, CI/CD, Jira.
