Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics Competence Center in Poland. You will design and build modern data platforms, integrating enterprise data sources to enable advanced analytics and reporting.

You will work with Azure services including Fabric, Data Lake, Databricks, and DWH to create scalable data solutions, ensure security, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Azure data engineering and data platform.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Fabric implementation projects.
• Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, PySpark, Azure DWH, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, etc.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of networking, security, identity management, and serverless computing in Azure.
• Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent Polish required.
• Residing in Poland required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain data solutions on an enterprise-level platform.
• Work with structured data across finance, manufacturing, procurement, and sales.
• Design and implement scalable, secure data solutions on Azure leveraging Fabric, Data Lake, Databricks, and ETL/ELT.
• Create and maintain efficient data models and schemas.
• Optimize data solutions for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure security practices and compliance across Azure architecture.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot data-related issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster collaborative learning.
• Stay up to date with Azure advancements and best practices.
