Job summary

Commit is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our expanding Data Engineering and Analytics team in Warsaw. You will design and develop scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform, focusing on data pipelines, data lakes, lakehouses, and cloud data warehouses.

You will lead technical design, translate business needs into robust architectures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance analytics and ML initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Data Engineer experience.
• Extensive hands-on GCP data solutions development.
• Experience with visualization tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight).
• Data modeling, orchestration, performance optimization, and large-scale processing.
• Strong Python, SQL, and data pipeline skills.
• Experience with cloud-based Data Warehouses and Lakehouses.
• Familiar with dbt, Dataform, or similar tools.
• CI/CD, Git, IaC, and production deployment practices.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English; learning new technologies across projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data solutions on GCP.
• Lead technical design and implementation of customer data projects.
• Translate business requirements into robust data architectures.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, lakehouses, and cloud data warehouses.
• Model data and integration processes for batch and real-time workloads.
• Handle structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Choose technologies based on performance, scalability, security, and cost.
• Implement data quality, governance, and orchestration processes.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Engineers, DevOps, analysts, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to analytics, AI, and ML solutions where relevant.
