Job summary

econsulting is seeking a Senior Data Architect to shape and supervise our cloud data platform on Azure. You will set standards for data ingestion, transformation, and Medallion architecture, while mentoring teams in ETL/ELT, streaming, and Data Product design.

You will migrate legacy MSBI to modern Azure data environments, oversee third‑party SaaS/COTS integration with security and audit readiness, and foster enterprise architecture alignment across the landscape.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Architect or similar senior role.
• Strong cloud data platform experience, preferably Azure.
• Hands-on with Azure services: Data Factory, Databricks, Event Hubs, Storage, Functions.
• Deep knowledge of ETL/ELT, streaming, data modeling, Medallion architecture, and Data Product design.
• Proficiency in Python, Spark and SQL.
• Solid understanding of Azure security: Managed Identities, Service Principals, OAuth2, Entra ID, Key Vault, SSO.
• Experience with SaaS/COTS onboarding, security reviews, access management, and SOC/compliance controls.

Responsibilities

• Shape and oversee Azure data architecture, setting standards for ingestion, integration, transformation, and Medallion architecture.
• Mentor teams on ETL/ELT, streaming, integration strategies, and Data Product design.
• Lead migration of legacy MSBI to modern data platforms and Data Products.
• Guide Azure platform evolution with security, compliance, and enterprise architecture in mind.
• Oversee onboarding and security reviews of third-party SaaS/COTS, vendor alignment, and audit readiness.
• Support upgrades, troubleshooting, and alignment across apps, infra, and networks.
