Job summary

Outokumpu Chrome Oy is seeking a data engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure, Databricks, PySpark and SQL in a hybrid Poland-based setup. You will develop ETL/ELT solutions, integrate SAP data and modernize data platforms including lakehouse architectures with Delta Lake.

The role requires strong analytics, collaboration, and CI/CD experience. You will work with platform, analytics and business teams to deliver reliable data solutions supporting reporting,

Qualifications

• Strong experience in data engineering and enterprise data platforms.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks, PySpark, SQL and Delta Lake.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Azure SQL, Synapse and Azure Functions.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modelling and modern lakehouse architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git and Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure, Databricks, PySpark and SQL.
• Develop ETL/ELT solutions and integrate data from SAP, databases, APIs and cloud platforms.
• Build modern lakehouse architectures with Databricks and Delta Lake.
• Modernize enterprise data platforms and migrate legacy data warehouses to Azure.
• Optimize data pipelines, Spark workloads and SQL performance.
• Implement data governance, security and monitoring.
• Contribute to CI/CD, automation and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with platform, analytics and business teams to deliver reliable data solutions that support reporting, analytics and AI.
