Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our data engineering team in Krakow. You will build and maintain robust data pipelines on the Azure Databricks platform, supporting key business functions and delivering trusted datasets to clients.

You will collaborate with engineers, data analysts, and product owners, define data models, and mentor less experienced teammates while focusing on performance, security, and cost optimization of the data platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, dbt and Python.
• Experience designing solutions based on Delta Lake, Iceberg, or HDFS storage technologies.
• Ability to independently lead complex data engineering projects and collaborate with stakeholders.
• English at C1 level.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing advanced data pipelines in the Azure Databricks environment.
• Creating scalable data architecture using lakehouse technologies.
• Defining standards and best practices in Data Engineering.
• Collaborating with Data Analytics, Data Science, and Product teams to deliver solutions.
• Mentoring less experienced engineers and providing technical support to the team.
• Optimizing performance, reliability, security, and cost of the data platform.
