Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our data engineering team in Kraków. You will design and maintain robust data pipelines on Azure Databricks, build lakehouse architectures, and collaborate with data analysts, scientists and product owners to deliver trusted datasets to clients.

The role requires 8+ years in data engineering, strong Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, dbt and Python skills, and a mindset for leadership and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of data engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, dbt and Python.
• Experience with Delta Lake, Iceberg or HDFS.
• Ability to lead complex data engineering projects and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Experience in technical leadership and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing advanced data pipelines in the Azure Databricks environment.
• Creating scalable data architecture using lakehouse technologies.
• Defining standards and best practices in the area of Data Engineering.
• Collaborating with Data Analytics, Data Science, and Product teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Mentoring less experienced engineers and providing technical support to the team.
• Optimizing performance, reliability, security, and cost of the data platform.
