Optiveum sp. z o.o. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and optimize data pipelines, ensuring high data quality and availability in a banking environment.

This role focuses on integrating systems and enabling secure data sharing, with a strong emphasis on SQL Server and data modeling. The position offers a hybrid work model (3 days in the office) with locations in Warsaw, Gdynia, or Gdańsk, and a direct B2B contract with Optiveum.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with data storages focusing on SQL Server.
• Proficiency in database programming using SQL, PL/SQL, or T-SQL.
• Solid experience in data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and APIs.
• Proven track record of building ETL/Data Pipelines and understanding data technologies.
• Strong overall understanding of Data and the data landscape.
• Fluent English (B2/C1) for international collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and build ETL processes and data pipelines across systems.
• Enable reliable and secure data sharing between applications.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and high availability.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline performance.

Senior Data Engineer

About the role:

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our client, a dynamically growing company in the banking industry. In this role, you will be responsible for building and optimizing data pipelines, integrating systems, and ensuring top-tier data quality and availability.

Key details:

• Rate: Up to 145 PLN / hour (B2B)
• Work model: Hybrid (3 days a week in the office)
• Location: Warsaw, Gdynia, or Gdańsk
• Contract: B2B agreement signed directly with Optiveum

Your responsibilities:

• Designing and building ETL processes and data pipelines for integrating data across various systems.
• Enabling reliable and secure data sharing between applications.
• Ensuring data quality, consistency, and high availability.
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing pipeline performance.
• Collaborating closely with engineering and business teams to gather and fulfill data requirements.

Requirements:

• Strong experience with data storages, with a mandatory focus on SQL Server.
• Proficiency in database programming using SQL, PL/SQL, or T-SQL.
• Solid experience in data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and APIs.
• Proven track record of building ETL/Data Pipelines and a deep understanding of various data technologies.
• Strong overall understanding of Data and the broader Data Landscape.
• Fluent English (B2/C1 minimum) allowing for seamless communication in an international environment.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Snowflake and AWS S3 storage.
• Knowledge of DB2.
