Job summary

TeamQuest is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our client in Kraków/Katowice. You will design and optimize scalable data processing pipelines, collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams, and advance data platforms for performance and cost efficiency.

The role requires strong Databricks/Python expertise, BI experience with Power BI, and fluent English. Hybrid work and flexible hours are offered along with a training budget and a collaborative, experienced team.

Our client is an international company operating for years in the IT consulting market.

Senior Data Engineer

location: Kraków, Katowice

Tasks

• Designing and implementing reliable and scalable data processing pipelines;
• Continuously improving existing data platforms for performance, cost, and maintainability;
• Closely collaborating with clients to understand their needs and deliver appropriate solutions;
• Collaborating with other teams and technical leaders across the organization.
• Ensuring solutions comply with applicable laws, standards, and regulatory requirements;
• Tracking new technologies and initiating and implementing innovative solutions.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Very good knowledge of data platform architecture;
• Practical experience in building solutions in Databricks using Python/PySpark (alternatively Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse);
• Experience in software development;
• Knowledge of Power BI or similar Business Intelligence tools;
• Very good command of English
• Communicative and open to teamwork

Good To Have

• Experience with platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar solutions;
• Experience in designing solutions based on data platforms;
• Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Azure cloud services, and .NET;
• Knowledge of AI-supported development environments, agentic programming techniques, and MCP (Model Context Protocol).
