________

Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future. If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.

What you will do?

At Digital Technology & Operations you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will help Group Functions turn complex data into trusted, reusable data assets that support better decisions, scalable Data Products and emerging AI solutions.

The role covers the full data journey, from understanding business needs and exploring source data to modelling, quality assessment, product development and enabling analytics or AI consumption. You will work with colleagues across Group Functions & AI, including Finance, Data Architecture, Data Engineering, data governance and business teams.

You will:
  • Shape the data foundation for Group Functions and AI. You will explore complex Finance and business data, connect information across systems and domains, and turn it into trusted, well-structured data assets for analytics, Data Products and AI solutions.
  • Design data solutions from business need to implementation. You will translate business questions into clear data requirements, conceptual and logical data models, data definitions and quality expectations, working closely with Data Architects, Data Engineers and business experts.
  • Enable new Data Products and AI use cases. You will identify and assess relevant data, challenge existing structures and ways of working, and help define solutions that are scalable, reusable and fit for purpose.
  • Bring business and technology together. You will work with Finance and other Group Functions to understand how data is created and used, explain complex topics clearly, and ensure that technical solutions address real business needs and deliver measurable value.
  • Raise the quality and maturity of data across Volvo Group. You will establish practical approaches to data quality, documentation, governance and reuse, while influencing stakeholders and contributing to a more consistent, end-to-end way of working with data.
Who are you?

Do you dream big? We do too, and we are excited to grow together. In this role, you will bring:

  • Solid experience in data analysis, data modelling or data management, with the ability to work across complex data environments and understand how data is structured, connected and used.
  • Strong data modelling capability, including experience developing conceptual and logical models, defining data requirements and shaping data solutions for analytics, Data Products or AI use cases.
  • Business and technical perspective, allowing you to translate business needs into clear requirements and practical solutions, and to explain complex data topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A strong focus on data quality and business value, with the ability to assess whether data is complete, reliable and fit for purpose, and to turn your findings into clear recommendations.
  • Systems thinking and problem-solving skills, enabling you to connect information across different data domains, challenge existing approaches and see opportunities for improvement and reuse.
  • Confidence to work through influence, collaborating with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Finance and other business experts in an international, cross-functional environment.
What are your skills?
  • A degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 6+ years of professional experience working with data, for example in data analysis, data modelling, data management, data architecture or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience analysing and structuring complex data across multiple sources or domains, with a strong understanding of data relationships, business meaning and data quality.
  • Experience designing conceptual and logical data models and defining data requirements for analytics, Data Products or other data-driven solutions.
  • Experience working with both business and technical stakeholders, translating business needs into clear requirements and practical data solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, data governance, data definitions, lineage and data consumption, with the ability to assess whether data is fit for purpose.
What’s in it for you?

We offer a solid package of compensation and benefits, plus you will enjoy:

  • The opportunity to shape how data is understood, managed and used across Group Functions and emerging AI initiatives.
  • The chance to contribute to data solutions that support Finance, business decision-making and the future development of Volvo Group.
