Job summary

XM is looking for a QA professional to join its cross-functional, agile tech teams in Poland. You will contribute to front-end, back-end, and end-to-end testing, ensuring quality throughout the development lifecycle.

The role covers wallets, transactions, and crypto trading workflows, with opportunities to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. Key requirements include a BSc/MSc in Computer Science and at least 3+ years of manual testing experience, plus 1+ year in crypto/blockchain test

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years in manual testing of software products.
• 1+ year QA in crypto, blockchain, Web3, DeFi, or digital asset platforms.
• Experience validating blockchain-related workflows (wallets, transfers, network interactions).
• Experience testing trading, exchange, fintech, or payment platforms with complex transactions.
• GUI and API testing experience is required.
• Proficient in SQL and database concepts.
• Strong software testing knowledge and methodologies.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Stay up to date with testing trends for DB and API.
• Report testing status to project teams and QA leadership.

• Test high-availability and high-throughput systems with real-time data.

Job description

As part of the QA team, you will work in cross-functional, innovative, agile tech teams to ensure quality is consistent throughout the development process. You will be involved in front-end, back-end, and E2E testing, and you will be offered fantastic opportunities to learn and develop.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

• Understand and clarify business requirements, features, and technical implementation
• Enhance software delivery and quality throughout the entire software development cycle
• Ensure that software meets functional and non-functional requirements
• Stay up to date on the latest testing trends and technologies related to DB and API
• Report testing status to project teams and Head of the QA department
• Track issues and drive resolutions throughout the testing process
• Manage in-house testing documentation, write and continuously review test strategy
• Validate crypto trading flows including order placement, execution, and settlement
• Participate in testing high-availability and high-throughput systems handling real-time trading data

Main requirements:

• BSc/MSc in Computer science
• 3+ years of experience in manual testing of software products
• 1+ year of QA experience working specifically with crypto, blockchain, Web3, DeFi, or digital asset platforms
• Practical experience validating blockchain-related workflows such as wallets, transactions, asset transfers, or network interactions
• Experience testing trading, exchange, fintech, or payment platforms with complex transactional flows
• Practical experience in GUI and API testing is a must
• Knowledge of SQL and database concepts
• Strong knowledge and experience in software testing concepts and methodologies
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills

• Methodical, analytical, and meticulous
• Very good written and verbal skills in English

The following will be considered an advantage:

• Experience in mobile testing (iOS/Android)
• Experience in any scripting language
• Experience in automated testing
• Familiarity with different API protocols and technologies
• Understanding of KYC/AML flows in crypto platforms
• Certified with a testing-related certification such as ISTQB
