EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced QA Team Lead to drive quality across exchange connectivity and algorithmic trading platforms. The role combines hands-on testing with leadership, balancing manual and automated efforts in a fast-paced environment.

You will design and maintain test suites, develop automation scripts in Python and Robot Framework, collaborate with developers and business analysts, troubleshoot issues, and leverage AI tools to enhance testing and reporting.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in software testing or QA roles.
• 6–8 years in exchange connectivity and algorithmic trading environments.
• Strong proficiency in manual and automated testing (50/50).
• Hands-on Python and Robot Framework for test automation.
• Familiarity with AI tools in testing and analysis.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced QA Team Lead to join our team and drive quality across our exchange connectivity and algorithmic trading platforms. This role requires strong proficiency in both manual and automated testing, with an even 50/50 split between the two.

This is a hybrid role, with three days per week working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for exchange connectivity and algorithmic trading platforms
• Develop and enhance automated testing scripts using Python and Robot Framework
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers to ensure high-quality delivery of trading platform features
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to exchange connectivity, trading algorithms, and platform performance
• Leverage AI tools to support testing, analysis, and reporting activities
• Document test results, defects, and provide clear feedback to stakeholders
• Participate in continuous improvement of testing processes and tools

Requirements

• 8–10 years of total experience in software testing or QA roles
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in exchange connectivity and algorithmic trading environments
• Strong proficiency in manual and automated testing (50/50 split)
• Hands‑on expertise in Python and Robot Framework for test automation
• Familiarity with AI tools and their application in testing and analysis
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative team environment
• Fluency in English (B2+ level)

Nice to have

• Experience in investment banking or financial services technology
• Knowledge of trading platform architecture and exchange protocols
• Previous experience working in Agile teams
