Moritz, a global AI-native law firm, seeks a German or UK qualified attorney based in Poland to join as a founding team member and partner in shaping our European growth. Lead the German/English law practice and craft end-to-end commercial deals while evolving our templates for scale.

Candidates should have 4–8 years at top tech-focused firms or in-house, with credentials in Rechtsanwalt (Germany) or Solicitor (England & Wales).

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience at a leading law firm for technology companies or in-house at a major tech company/startup.
• Expert in commercial law, with deep experience drafting and negotiating contracts and MSAs.
• Active practising certificate (Rechtsanwalt or Solicitor) required.
• Based in Poland, or willing to relocate there.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and excitement about building something new.
• Genuine interest in innovation, AI, and legal tech.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.

THE ROLE

We're looking for a German or UK qualified attorney based in Poland to join as a founding team member: not just as legal counsel, but as a core partner in shaping our product and growth in Europe.

What you'll do

• Act as a lead for our German or English law practice (commercial or corporate M&A) and shape product strategy and go-to-market approach
• Own commercial legal work end to end: drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial or corporate documents under German or English law
• Build, test, and refine our European product from a legal perspective, evolving core templates and playbooks
• Partner with the founding team to design scalable legal workflows that drive product adoption and growth
• Provide strategic guidance on German or English law commercial or corporate matters as we scale

What we're looking for

• 4-8 years of experience at a leading law firm for technology companies (i.e. BigLaw or magic circle) or in-house at a major tech company or high-growth startup
• Expert in commercial law, with deep experience drafting and negotiating contracts and MSAs
• Qualified as a Rechtsanwalt (Germany) or a solicitor of England and Wales, with an active practising certificate (non negotiable requirement)
• Based in Poland, or willing to relocate there
• Entrepreneurial mindset and excitement about building something new
• Genuine interest in innovation, AI, and legal tech
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment

Compensation: EUR 50,000 + 10,000 bonus.
