Job summary

Splunk is seeking a senior member of the Foundations team to design and deliver robust platform solutions for Splunk Cloud. You will focus on automation, cross-functional collaboration, and scalable infrastructure across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.

You will mentor engineers, drive reliability, and apply distributed systems best practices while advancing cloud-native services and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying cloud-native applications at scale using modern tooling.
• Proficient in software engineering with distributed systems knowledge.
• Experience with SaaS/on-premise deployments and containerized environments.
• Deep knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms and services.
• Strong scripting in Bash, Python, and Go.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain cloud platform infrastructure across providers.
• Oversee design, testing, and deployment of cloud-native apps and services.
• Improve availability, performance, security, and efficiency of deployments.
• Lead incident response and identify root causes to mitigate bottlenecks.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
